We are growing our Haskap in virgin Aspen cleared soil, typically native to haskap grown on the tundra of Russia or the regions of Japan that have been utilizing them for hundreds of years as a prized healthy berry source. The flavour is like a blueberry-rasberry cross, with no pit, or discernible seeds.
At the moment, because of limited supply in the industry ,restaurants and specialty orders take the majority of our production. However as supplies increase, the use for Haskap berries for wine making, jams and jellies, smoothies and ice cream etc. will expand the market.
